CIC Webinar on BIM Competition 2025 - Finalist Presentation and Award Presentation Ceremony

The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has been organising the CIC BIM Competition annually since 2019, providing an excellent platform for the younger generation to enhance their knowledge and skills in BIM and showcase their talent. The competition aims to promote the practical use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) through a collaborative and competitive learning approach among tertiary students in construction-related disciplines. Now in its seventh year, "CIC BIM Competition 2025" aims to challenge the participant's creativity and innovation in the design of existing building of the Hong Kong Institute of Construction - Tai Po Training Ground into a NextGen Construction Centre. The competition is open to full-time higher education (post-secondary) students, and part-time students who are pursuing top up degrees. Teams are needed to be formed with minimum 3 to maximum 6 members from at least 2 construction disciplines. For the audience of the morning session, you can give the vote online to your desired team to help them to win the "Best Presentation Team (Live online voting)". The result will be announced at the award presentation ceremony at the afternoon. Outline of the webinar (information provided by vendor): Most construction stakeholders in Hong Kong are now familiar with SSSS, BIM, DWSS since their implementations with the promotion by Development Bureau, Works Departments and CIC over the past few years. With as-built BIM models of Government facilities, EMSD have set AM-FM standards and implemented customed designed AMS. The above systems are the essential components of the Public Works Digitalisation spearheaded by Development Bureau. Development Bureau recently issued the Technical Circular TC(W) 2/2025 in January 2025 - Digital Project Delivery System (DPDS). The DPDS is the last piece of jigsaw for the implementation of Digitalisation for Public Works. For capital works design projects commencing 1st April 2025, DPDS is required to digitise project, document and financial management. The Speaker will describe the key points of the Technical Circular and show snapshots of different system modules. Target audience are professionals and project officers in Government Departments and Consulting firms who are involved in the planning and design of capital works projects.
