Background
To advance digital transformation in Hong Kong’s construction sector through MiMEP, the Construction Industry Council (CIC), in collaboration with the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD), has launched the MiMEP BIM Objects Library—offering free, standardised resources tailored to local specifications to promote wider BIM-based MiMEP adoption.

Key Features
- Local Relevance: Tailored to Hong Kong’s MiMEP practices and successfully applied in EMSD’s RMAA and DCS projects.
- High Level of Detail: Developed to LOD 300 in Revit 2024 format.

Users can also download individual MiMEP BIM Objects from the BIM Objects Library by searching for “MiMEP” in the Keyword field.

How to Search for MiMEP BIM Objects:
1 - Go to the“BIM Objects Library”
2 - Enter “MiMEP” in the Keyword field.
3- Click "Find BIM Objects"
4 - The system will display all available MiMEP BIM Objects for download.

CIC BIM Object Sheet Template: Excel Format

Users are recommended to adjust/remove the attribute values from any BIM objects from CIC Objects Library to satisfy their project-specific needs. 

For BIM objects that are not comply with BIM Harmonisation Guideline, the basic information of the BIM object would not be displayed. However, the basic information is included in Object Sheets and BIM object files.

Background
To support the digital transformation of Hong Kong's Plumbing and Drainage industry, the Construction Industry Council (CIC), in collaboration with the Hong Kong Plumbing and Sanitary Ware Trade Association (HKPSWTA), is proud to launch the BIM Objects Library – Plumbing and Drainage Objects. This initiative aims to encourage the widespread adoption of BIM in the local industry by providing free resources that are universal, standardized and tailored to local specifications in Hong Kong. The first phase of the library focuses on pipe fittings, with plumbing accessories to be released in the next phase.
