A new event, Construction Digitalisation B2B Speed Matching Day, was successfully concluded at CIC BIM Space. It aims a platform to pave the way for implementing construction digitalisation with users and solutions providers across the industry. The topic of this time was CDE platform for site management. To penetrate the technology into the industry and reach more practitioners, seminars and workshops of the event were recorded and scheduled to broadcast. We are happy to have Bentley Systems Hong Kong Limited in this session. More recorded sessions with different solutions will be scheduled to broadcast soon. Please note that all visitors must complete a health declaration form, use the "LeaveHomeSafe" Mobile App to scan the venue QR code, take body temperature and wear masks before entering CIC premises. To promote the awareness and understanding of the Building Information Modelling (BIM), CIC is pleased to organise a new event named "BIM Awareness Seminar and Workshop 2.0" in CIC BIM Space for the industry. Similar to the previous "BIM Awareness Seminar" (Half-day) and "BIM Awareness Seminar and Workshop" (Full-day), the content of the "BIM Awareness Seminar and Workshop 2.0" has been upgraded with hands-on experience on BIM software and related technologies. Participants would also have opportunities to experience BIM applications at different stages of the project lifecycle. BIM Awareness Seminar and Workshop 2.0 1. Seminar - "What is BIM?"2. BIM Technical Sharing: A Game Changing Construction Method - MiC Adoption at InnoCell, Pat Heung and Penny's Bay Quarantine Facilities

BIM Technical Sharing: A Game Changing Construction Method - MiC Adoption at InnoCell, Pat Heung and Penny's Bay Quarantine Facilities Abstract: InnoCell is the first Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) high-rise building completed in Hong Kong, it demonstrates a revolutionary gaming-changing breakthrough in our construction industry. In total 418 MiC modules assembled the 17-storey building, where installation of modules were completed in merely 71 days. On a typical floor with 30 modules, a fastest 2-day floor cycle installation record was accomplished. Digital applications including Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are used to facilitate construction safety training and architectural visual rendering; drone scanning and GIS location system for MiC delivery simulation; 3D printing, 4D simulation and 5D BIM payment system for better visualization on works; robotic aids and digital work supervision system (DWSS) to centralize progress records, as well as 360-degree camera captures and sensors in connection with Internet of Things (IoT) for position locating. This multi-award-winning project has demonstrated a transformation of fragmented site-based and multi-trade construction towards industrialized construction. Speaker: Ms. Michele Lui Wing Chi, Manager (Business Development), Hip Hing Construction Co. Ltd. Biography: Graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University majoring in Building Engineering and Management (Honours), Michele joined Hip Hing Construction Co. Ltd. as Management Trainee in 2012, and participated in several significant projects, such as electical power substations, Xiqu Centre at West Kowloon Cultural District, Grade A office Tower and luxurious residential projects. She is the project in charge of few recent MiC (Modular Integrated Construction) Projects, namely InnoCell, and Temporary Quarantine Facilities at Pat Heung and Penny’s Bay Phase 3A for the Hong Kong Government, which have over 1,400 nos. Celebration of BIM Achievement 2022

Development Bureau and the Construction Industry Council (CIC) co-organise the Celebration of BIM Achievement (CBA) in 2022 with more categories added. The CBA aims to inspire organisations and practitioners to continually be creative, innovative, transformative or disruptive in bringing BIM to its full potential, by recognising and sharing their achievements with all stakeholders.
