DWSS Webinar Series: Webinar on Experience Sharing on Digital Site Supervision

16/07/2020 | 10:00 - 11:00

The Development Bureau has published a Technical Circular on Digital Works Supervision System (DWSS) (ref. DevB TC(W) No. 3/2020) intending to enhance the standard and efficiency of work supervision as well as the quality and safety of works. The Technical Circular sets out the policy and requirements on the adoption of the Digital Works Supervision System (DWSS) in capital work contracts under the Capital Works Programmes, with pre-tender estimate exceeding $300 million and to be tendered on or after 1 April 2020. The adoption of DWSS will certainly increase productivity, enhance regulation and quality assurance for the industry. In order to support this transformation, CIC has launched a webinar series on DWSS to facilitate the adoption of digital technologies for construction site supervision. To kick start the webinar series, we are delighted to have Mr Stanley THO from HKSTP and Mr Stephen WANG from Dragages to share their experiences on how digital inspection tools enhance the efficiency of project management. Programme Highlights: DWSS: Adoption for InnoCell by Mr. Stanley THO The application of DWSS is a crucial tool which is a web-based centralised portal for collecting works information and managing the workflows of site activities to enhance efficiency, safety and quality performance The experience of InnoCell project team in the application of DWSS for the success of InnoCell, particularly in facilitating the off-site production and quality control of the MiC units Dragages on the Way to Digitalisation - by Mr. Steven WANG How and why Dragages digitalise the process How DWSS improved site processes at Tuen Mun – Chek Lap Kok Link and other projects The Way Forward and Dragages's Vision on DWSS Speakers: An electronic copy of the CPD attendance certificate will be issued to the participants after the webinar. CDE Webinar Series: Webinar on Visualisation and Integration Hub - Deliver your Project, Operate your Asset and Optimise Services through Integrating and Simplifying Data Environment

10/07/2020 | 16:00 – 17:00

Many sectors are on the move toward digital transformation, and the time has come to develop a real digital strategy for the construction industry. Setting up a Common Data Environment (CDE) to collect, manage, and disseminate data and project information throughout the project lifecycle is gaining traction and attention in the construction industry. With that in mind, the CIC has launched a CDE webinar series to introduce commercialised technology solutions to facilitate the implementation of CDE across the industry. A "Visualisation and Integration Hub" that will enable expert and non-expert users to intuitively search, surface and query spatial, geospatial, asset and project data in one place. This presentation will outline the capability of the GeoConnect+ software and insight into how this software meets the needs of the Hong Kong market. An electronic copy of CPD attendance certificate will be issued to the participants after the webinar. Should you have any inquiries, please contact Ms. Julia LI at bimspace@cic.hk / 3199 7274.
