Development Bureau and the Construction Industry Council (CIC) will co-organise the Celebration of BIM Achievement (CBA) in 2022 with more categories added. The categories are as follows, (1) BIM Projects 2022(2) BIM Organisations 2022 (3) BIMers 2022(4) BIM Training and R&D Organisations 2022 [New category](5) Student BIM Projects 2022 [New category](6) Eminent BIM Drivers 2022 [New category](7) Most Improved BIM Organisations 2022 [New category][Note: "BIM" in CIC's context includes BIM, digital construction, and its related technologies etc. in construction industry.] The CBA aims to inspire organisations and practitioners to continually be creative, innovative, transformative or disruptive in bringing BIM to its full potential, by recognising and sharing their achievements with all stakeholders. Although each category of achievement has its own merit and assessment criteria, all categories share the same key ingredients of vision and mission in BIM, achievements, lessons learned, contributions and impact to the construction industry in Hong Kong. Apply now if you are passionate in promoting and adopting BIM, have achieved important and recognised milestones of BIM in your organisation, projects, education or research and development, etc. Tell us your story, and your footprints would be registered in the history of BIM development in Hong Kong. A briefing webinar will be held to introduce the details, including the objectives, eligibility, judging criteria, application requirements and tips on filling application forms, etc. You are cordially invited to attend the webinar to prepare for the application of the CBA. CDE Webinar Series: Integrated Digital Management Hub – Building CDE with Digital Twin for Project Management

02/06/2020 | 16:00 – 17:00

Digital twin is one of the most important technologies for construction in next 3 years. It was listed as one of the top 10 strategic technology trends by Gartner for 3 consecutive years. By building a digital replica of construction site, project team can see and understand the real-time site situation in 3D, and coordinate with different parties effectively.Varadise Twin is one of the solution that can serves as CDE for construction and beyond to enable digital project management, improving productivity and quality through construction digitalisation, and maximising the benefit of BIM.With a live BIM platform as CDE, project team can manage: RISC Form submission and approval status Site inspection and checklist Safety observation and follow up actions Site progress monitoring with S-Curve, and 4D construction history Labor attendance record Plant and equipment utilisation with IoT MiC delivery and installation tracking Digital Works Supervision System (DWSS) And many other digital applications to support digital project management. An electronic copy of CPD attendance certificate will be issued to the participants after the webinar. CDE Webinar Series: CONNECTED Data Environment

16/06/2020 | 16:00 – 17:00

Many sectors are on the move toward digital transformation, and the time has come to develop a real digital strategy for the construction industry. Setting up a Common Data Environment (CDE) to collect, manage, and disseminate data and project information throughout the project lifecycle is gaining traction and attention in the construction industry. With that in mind, CIC has launched a CDE webinar series to introduce commercialised technology solutions to facilitate the implementation of CDE across the industry. The importance of the BIM process along with Common Data Environment (CDE) is to capturing your information to realize the benefits. This webinar will show you some features of Bentley ProjectWise CDE, such as BIM model management, ISO19650/BS1192 Project Template, Deliverable Management; Issue Resolution; Project Insight, and also see some examples of BIM projects utilizing ProjectWise. The use of ProjectWise CDE in Design, Construction, and Asset management will be described. An electronic copy of CPD attendance certificate will be issued to the participants after the webinar. Should you have any inquiries, please contact Mr. Chris WONG at bimspace@cic.hk / 2100 9421. Watch Recorded Webinar Video
