In June 2023, the Development Bureau issued a memo to update the Technical Circular (Works) No. 2/2021, which stated that less than half of the BIM coordinators in each capital works project in Hong Kong can be CIC-Certified BIM Coordinator (Associate), CCBC(A), for tenders to be invited on or after 1 January 2024. The Construction Industry Council (CIC) provides a streamlined method for certification of CCBC(A) as CCBC. Eligible BIM practitioners are highly encouraged to submit applications for CCBC(A) on or before 30 September 2023 to enjoy free application fee.
