In 2019, Construction Industry Council (CIC) launched the CIC BIM Certification and Accreditation Schemes (the Schemes) to ascertain the competency of BIM practitioners and the quality of relevant local BIM training programmes. The Certification of BIM Managers (CCBM) and Certification of BIM Coordinators (CCBC) under the Schemes have been opened for application since 28 January 2019 and 31 March 2020 respectively.

By September 2021, 472 CCBMs have been certified since the Schemes launched. The average passing rate of CCBM interview assessment is around 57%. It is expected this rate will increase as all CCBM applicants have to complete a CIC-Accredited BIM Manager course before application.

In this webinar, CIC has invited a few experienced assessors of the CCBM Assessment Panels to share their observations on the CCBM application submissions and the performance of the applicants during interviews. They will also highlight the areas that candidates need to be strengthened and prepared.
