The CIC Production of BIM Object Guide - General Requirements, published in June 2018 and updated in August 2019, is intended to standardise the minimum requirements of the production of BIM objects for BIM object creators such as contractors, manufacturers, material suppliers and software vendors, etc. in the construction industry.

Responding to the suggestion from the CIC Committee on BIM and the demand from the industry, this webinar aims to promote the BIM Object Guide to the industry. It will provide guidance to stakeholders, in particular manufacturers and material suppliers, to follow the Guide and provide standardised BIM objects for industry to use. It will also address on how BIM can enable / integrate Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) and Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) by advancing and leveraging the use of BIM Objects.
